A Beautiful Bohemian Bathroom

During my first meeting with this particular client, it was clear by the lovely styling in the rest of her home that she liked a Bohemian style. She was very open to suggestions about tile choices and colours. Her only request was that she didn't want to do subway tiles because she wanted something different. She specified that she liked texture and she loved tiles that had a ripple going through them. I was pleased when I was able to find a tile that suited her likes.

When I first looked at the bathroom, it was apparent that the bath was the wrong shape and it dominated the space. It left little room for a vanity and for storage. The colouring of the room was quite yellow which dulled a lot of the natural light in the room. The room felt very small and it was not practical.

By choosing white gloss tiles, the natural light could bounce around the room and it automatically made the space brighter. The beautiful concrete look tiles were a great contrast to the gloss bright tiles and the timber of the wall hung vanity added warmth to the room.

A wall-to-wall Kaldewei Dynaset steel bath maximised the practical wall space and provided a great platform to stand in for a shower. A ceiling shower was installed so that the cavity sliding door could remain in place and a practical shower recess provided space for washing products. A swivel bath spout was also an added practical, yet stylish touch.

My client was so relaxed about this bathroom renovation which made the whole experience most enjoyable.
